Processing of Orders

• We aim to ship items within 72 hours of receiving your order.
• Your order may be delayed if the item is not in stock, and may take up to 10 working days to complete the order should the item need to be made.
• Some items may be unavailable.
• We regret we are not able to supply dates upon when an out of stock item may be back in stock.
• We will keep you updated by E-mail as to the status of your order (unless you ask us not to).
• Direct Deposits are recieved / Credit cards are debited before items are shipped by Abakus Design.

Cancelling an Order
You may only cancel an order prior to it being shipped out. A deduction of 10% bank service fee will be imposed for cancelled orders. We shall not be able to process a cancellation once your order has been shipped.

Return Policy
All goods may be exchanged for a store credit note within 14 days from date of purchase provided the goods have not been used and are in their original packaging. Exchanges are done at the expense of the customer when exchanged via post/courier. Any goods that are returned damaged or altered in some way, will not be exchanged. Unfortunately, we do not refund for incorrect choice, incorrect sizing or for not liking the product - so choose wisely.

How do I exchange items?
The best way to arrange for an exchange is to contact us as we will give you correct instructions pertaining to your particular order. Each exchange scenario can be different.

What if my package is damaged or has a manufacturing defect?
All products are carefully wrapped with utmost care to ensure a safe delivery to their destination. In the rare event that you encounter damaged goods, you may contact our staff for assistance: info@abakus-design.com

What is your address for returns or exchanges?
We usually advise customers to contact us before sending items back to us, in order to make sure the claim is a valid one. We'll tell you the best way to handle your returns or exchanges and what you can expect from our end.

Who pays for shipping exchange or return items back to Abakus Design?
In normal cases the customer will be responsible for shipping their items back to us, whereas we shall be responsible for re-shipping exchange items back to you. Thus, we suggest you make careful selections before you finalize your order.

Can I get a refund?
No. Abakus Design are only able to offer you store credits equivalent to the amount of the purchase price of your returned goods. These store credits can be redeemed as cash equivalents on your next purchase. For the best arrangement, please contact us to service your return request.

Postage and Handling
We pride ourselves on being able to deliver ANYWHERE in Australia. Overseas clients are also serviced.

Delivery of goods will take between 3 to 5 business days. Rural & Remote Areas can take up to 10 working days. This timeframe excludes goods that are currently out of stock. Out of stock items may take up to 4 weeks for delivery but you will be contacted first for the opportunity to change or cancel the order.

We cannot call you prior to delivery, however, if you are not home, a calling card will be left in your mailbox.

Please be advised, we do not deliver to Post Office Boxes as someone has to be available to sign for the parcels. Please provide a street address for all deliveries.

All our clothing is sent by either registered post or courier - whichever we think will be the best way to get it to you in due time. This means a unique identification number comes with each delivery, a tracking system to provide ease of mind, a signature is needed on delivery and your item is insured.

Postal charges have been simplified for your convenience and can be done as a flat rate (Metropolitan or Rural/Remote).

Metropolitan areas:
Adelaide, Albury Wodonga, Bendigo, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Capricorn Coast, Central Coast, Coffs Harbour, Geelong, Gold Coast, Mackay, Melbourne, Mt Gambier, Newcastle, Northern Rivers, Port Macquarie, Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Toowoomba, Townsville, Wide Bay, Wollongong.

Rural/Remote:
All other areas

Metropolitan Rate
Express Postage and Handling for small jewellery items - $6.00* including GST
Larger Items start from - $9.00* including GST and up

Please allow 2-7 business days from day payment is received.

Rural & Remote Rate*

Please allow 8-10 business days from day payment is received.

Overseas orders*
*dependant on weight/cubic measurements and freight options - airmail or courier.

Please Note:

• We are trusting you to pick the right area/rate for delivery. If you try to cheat the system, your order will not be processed until this is fixed. If you find the map confusing or have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask - that's what we're here for. We can have your rate sorted out almost immediately.
• Our delivery charges are a flat fee per order up to 5kg, not per item.
• Our opening hours are Monday to Friday between 8:30am - 5pm. Orders placed outside these hours will not be processed until the next business day.
• Public holidays may add to delivery times.
• Deliveries are made on business days, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
• When sending to more than one destination, separate orders (including delivery charges) must be placed.
• If there is no secure place for package delivery, you can choose to have a package delivered to your place of business.

Limitation of Liability

In the unlikely event that you receive goods which were not what you ordered or which are damaged or defective, or are of a different quantity to that stated on your order form, Abakus Design shall, at its own option, make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any damaged or defective goods, or refund you the amount you paid for the goods in question PROVIDED THAT you notify Abakus Design of the problem in writing to info@abakus-design.com within 7 days of delivery of the goods.

Illegal Acts
It is a crime to use a false name or a known invalid credit card to order. Anyone caught wilfully entering an erroneous or fictitious order will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Modification of Terms
Abakus Design reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Any modification of these terms will be deemed to be effective from the date and time of posting on the Abakus Design site.
